Hashmark: Tally Counter
What it does.
Count anything.
Give a counter a name, a colour, a step, a start value and an optional target. Auto-reset counts in rounds. A −1 button fixes a slip, and Reset asks first.
Tap, press or feel it.
One big, centred tap target. Set each volume key to +1, −1 or off. Every tap gives a strong vibration, with a different pattern at each 33, at the target and at each mala.
Tasbih, dhikr and japa.
The tasbih after prayer moves on to the next phrase by itself, and each phrase is shown in Arabic, with a transliteration and an English meaning. A japa counter counts 108 per mala.
Focus mode.
The whole screen is the button, with only the count, the phrase and an Exit button on it. Dim the screen to 10% brightness, and the volume keys still count.
Honestly
What it can and can't do.
Hashmark does
- Counts are saved as you tap and included in your Android backup.
- Keeps a 30-day chart of daily totals and the recent tap log, and exports one counter or all of them as a CSV file.
- Puts a counter on your home screen as a 1×1 or 2×1 widget, or on the Quick Settings tile.
Hashmark doesn't
- It ships no mantra text: you name a japa counter yourself.
- It doesn't ask for any permissions, not even to export.
- It never shows ads on the counting screen or in Focus.
On the phone.

What Hashmark reads
Privacy, in plain words.
Your counters, taps and history stay on your phone and in your Android backup, and leave it only when you export them. Analytics never include a counter's name, phrase or count, or which kind of counter you use. Full privacy policy for Hashmark.
