Halloo: Clap to Find Phone
What it does.
Clap. It answers.
Turn on listening, put the phone down, and clap or whistle when you can't find it.
Rings even on silent.
An alarm sound, plus the torch and vibration if you turn them on, until you tap Stop. It stops itself after a minute.
Listens until you stop it.
Stop it any time from the app, the notification, a Quick Settings tile or the widget, or let it stop on a timer.
Tune it to your room.
A sensitivity slider and a Test mode, to cut down false alarms from other sounds.
Honestly
What it can and can't do.
Halloo does
- Listens for claps or a whistle while you choose, then rings, and flashes the torch and vibrates if you turn them on.
- Analyses sound on the phone itself, as it happens.
- Shows a notification with a Stop button the whole time it listens, and on Android 12 and later, Android's green mic dot.
Halloo doesn't
- It does not record, save or send any audio. Nothing leaves your phone.
- It cannot find a phone that is switched off, out of battery or too far away to hear you.
- It does not listen until you turn it on, and it stops when you tell it to or when its timer runs out.
On the phone.
