Datum: Spirit & Bubble Level
What it does.
Level, at a glance.
A bullseye and a bar level with big angle readouts. Hold freezes the reading; a haptic tells you when you are level.
A bubble that behaves.
Spring-settled and low-pass filtered, so it lags and settles like liquid instead of jittering.
A real ruler.
Millimetres and inches sized to your screen, with a draggable measure line.
Calibrate with a bank card.
If your phone reports its screen size wrongly, fit a standard card to the outline once and Datum remembers it.
Angles by touch or tilt.
A protractor you drag, or the device tilt angle from the sensors.
On the phone.

What Datum reads
Privacy, in plain words.
Datum reads your phone’s rotation-vector sensor (or the accelerometer alone, on phones without one) to show tilt. The readings are processed on the device only and are never stored or sent anywhere; only your calibration and settings are saved on the phone. Full privacy policy for Datum.
